Itinerary:
Day 1 - Paro to Thimphu: Arrive in the Paro Airport: Altitude: 2280m/ 7524ft above sea level. Your representative from Raven Tours and Treks will greet you, brief you about the trip and will take you to the capital city Thimphu where you will be staying. Altitude: 2320m/ 7656ft above sea level. (1 hr 30 min drive). Later visit Mini Zoo and Tashichoo Dzong.
Day 2 – 3 In Thimphu: Visit weekend market, hike to Cheri Monastery, visit hand made paper factory, 13 Arts and Crafts institute, museums, see people playing archery, stroll around the city, Bhutanese way of wedding and ceremony, night in down town Thimphu…
Day 4 – In Punakha:Altitude: 1350m/4455ft above sea level. Morning drive to Punakha valley( 3 hours drive). Later visit Kham Sum Yule Lhakhnag, Punakha Dzong and Hike to Temple of Fertility.
Day 5 – In Trongsa: Altitude: 2200m /7260ft above sea level. Morning drive to Trongsa(6 hours drive). On the way visit Wangdue town, see different vegetation as you pass by. Later visit Trongsa Dzong.
Day 6 – In Thimphu: Drive back to the capital city Thimphu enjoying the curves and winding roads with paddy fields and fresh air.
Day 7-8-9 In Paro: Morning drive to Parovalley(2 hours drive) and visit, museums, dzongs, monasteries, hike to Tiger’s nest, visit farm houses, take hot stone bath, day excursion with pack lunch…..
Day 10 – Depart from Bhutan: Morning /Afternoon, transfer to airport for onward travel. Your representative from Raven Tours and Treks will help you out with exit formalities.
